When contrasting elements meet
it causes a reaction;
a new sensation, a new feeling…
Kagelow「陽炎」means
“heat shimmer” in Japanese.
And like the combination of heated air and light
creates shimmering pools on summer streets,
we hope the confluence of elements here creates
a similar reaction in the hearts of
travelers and locals.

We are striving to create a hostel
that is also a destination for travelers.

STAY

When we renovated our Hostel
we used reclaimed wood from old Japanese houses
that were built over 150 years ago.
We hope you enjoy the old Japanese materials
and traditional items.
Enjoy the relaxing smell of traditional Japanese “Tatami” mats
and the feeling of our carefully selected bedding.
Each room has an air conditioner and free wi-fi.
Please also feel free to use the shared kitchen and shared computer.
